The story
The GP16 is unveiled in February 2016 and entrusted to Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso. It is the Ducati Team’s MotoGP prototype, developed under Gigi Dall’Igna.
Aerodynamic winglets on either side of the fairing are among its most recognisable features. The white and red livery belongs to a period when Ducati is developing the role of winglets in the bike’s behaviour.
Iannone wins at the Red Bull Ring on 14 August 2016. Dovizioso finishes second: the one-two brings Ducati its first MotoGP victory since Casey Stoner’s 2010 win in Australia.
