The 1299 Superleggera brings carbon fibre into the bike’s structure.
The 1299 Superleggera is based on the 1299 Panigale and produced in a run of 500. Ducati places it in the 2017 model year of its limited-production series.
The work on weight concerns the structure: a carbon-fibre monocoque, swingarm and wheels. The material is used in the components that support the motorcycle and keep it moving.
The Superquadro twin develops Ducati’s stated 215 hp in production configuration. The photographed motorcycle’s livery alternates red and white, with bodywork wrapped closely around the engine.
